There are a lot of cases where traits probably shouldn't stack (Wayang Spellhunter and Magical Lineage) but that's a GM putting in a limit for the good of the game rather than a rule in the book. Magical Lineage and Wayang Spellhunter, both at Level 1 for PFS. Even percentage discounts would stack (though the store would probably apply them multiplicatively, not additively.) I realised that the feats Wayang Spellhunter and Magical Lineage both lower the level increase of metamagic by 1, and my DM allows them to stack on the same spell. Wayang Spellhunter reduces the level increase from metamagic of a single spell by one. Every four levels thereafter (7th, 11th, and 15th), these bonuses increase by +1 each time, to a maximum –4 reduction of the armor check penalty and a +4 increase of the maximum Dexterity bonus allowed.Įven if it didn't, there's nothing that says that untyped "modifications" don't stack.Īs for the coupon analogy: if you have two coupons that gave you a $10 discount, they would stack unless one or both specifically says "cannot be combined with any other offers" or something similar. Whenever he is wearing armor, he reduces the armor check penalty by 1 (to a minimum of 0) and increases the maximum Dexterity bonus allowed by his armor by 1. Can't i just take additional traits at level 5, or even 7 to pick up wayang spell hunter for fireball then. vs longer term planning of taking it on fireball. Starting at 3rd level, a fighter learns to be more maneuverable while wearing armor. is it worth taking magical lineage with burning hands short term advantage of boreal spell and then intensify spell.
